Apr 27, 2009 - Elkins (WV) Speedway To Host O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions!

(Morgantown, WV)--April 27, 2009---For the first time in the history of Elkins (WV) Speedway, the full-blown O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Cars will be screaming around the newly designed and clayed Elkins Speedway ¼ mile oval.

Some of the nationally known drivers competing in this national aseries are Daryn Pitman, Randy Hannigan and current series point leader Dale Blaney from Hartford, Ohio. Yes, Blaney is brother to NASCAR driver Dave Blaney but Dale already had made himself a name in the Mountaineer State. For those race fans who don't know, Dale Blaney was also guard for the West Virginia University Mountaineers and had an awesome career here.

“I am really anxious to see the speeds these guys can hit on the new track. In recent years there was very little traction but with the new clay done it could get downright scary!” jokingly said promoter A.J. Rockwell. “These guys don't get to come in to West Virginia and compete for us very often and we are anxious to see what they have to prove to us fans, most have never seen sprint cars live!”

The O'Reilly All Star Circuit of Champion Sprints will make their debut at A.J.Rockwell's newly configured ¼ mile Elkins (WV) Speedway on Saturday, June 6th with support from a local division yet to be announced.
